Rainbow Star Afghan by couldvebeendifferent Rainbow Star Afghan by couldvebeendifferent
Ever since I was a wee little girl, I have had a love for Care Bears. This, in turn, has given me a love for both rainbows and stars. Here, I have combined these two old loves with my new love (crocheting), and produced this Rainbow Star Afghan.

It is hand-crocheted using 100% acrylic red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple & violet yarns.

It measures 4-feet 6-inches from the top point to the bottom valley, and 5-feet 4-inches from left point to right point.

It is currently for sale at: [link]

Can you give step by step instructions on how to make this afghan? I like to crochet too, and this would be an awesome crochet project to try.

<3

I'm always impressed by crocheters. I could never "get it", I always ended up with a tangled mess on the end of my hook.

Curious though, how man hours did you put into this particular blanket?

:iconcouldvebeendifferent:
Thanks!

I'm not exactly sure how many hours it took exactly, but I spent about 2 weeks working on it every free moment I got.

That's a pretty big one! I do like the colors, however, one small thing with the colors, the red seems really bright compared to the pastel of the other shades, but that may be just the camera. Yet again, I applaude your patience!

That looks great! How long did it take you to make this? Did you crochet it all in one piece? What stitch(es) did you use?

Hehehehe, all these questions. I think it is wonderful.

it looks like it was crocheted "in the round" & she just kept going till she had all the color repeats completed...

...just a guess!

. o O (and it is gorgeous! i love the bright colors!)
